Capturing the leaving of a wedding is priceless, everyone has spent the day with the couple, and this is the best part of it all. I always love when I am honored to photograph a wedding at this beautiful venue the William Aiken House, this venue with its historic Charleston South Carolina theme is amazing, beautifully painted in yellow, with blush greens, a fabulous veranda, this place has more weddings per year than most venues. For this couple, it was on New Year's day, that I captured this amazing image for my clients. Sparkler exit are very common here, and how you capture them is so much more important, everyone has to line up correctly on both side, there are common issues like when to light the sparklers, the time it takes for the bride and groom to walk down the aisle to make sure they are safe and that the sparklers last. I have learned through the years that my best approach before the bride and groom attempt this is to not stay steady, I usually will start with them and walk backward, yes if anything goes wrong, I will be the first one to feel the sparkler if anyone gets to close, but the best part always for me, is that I am constant, with the client, and watching their emotion, that to me is how you get such a priceless fantastic joyful ending photo for both the bride and groom and the album as well.
