Wedding venues vary greatly, and as a wedding photographer, it's essential to capture all the details to adequately document the client's special day. Even though they may not remember everything, the photos will allow them to relive those moments. At a recent wedding at Rose Hill Plantation in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with over 200 guests, I wanted to showcase the beauty of the reception in one image. I brought extra equipment and used my Gitzo carbon fiber tripod to capture the perfect shot to ensure I had everything I needed. By adequately measuring the light, I could highlight the trees in the background and show the true magnitude of the reception. Overall, it's essential to create exquisite images that showcase the beauty and essence of the wedding day.
