Every photographer's dream is to capture great images. That requires many different aspects. One of the main factors is lighting. In most cases, we are blessed by three main lighting factors, ambient light during the day, why most call themselves ambient lighting photographers, sunset lighting, and total darkness. If we had it our way, it would be that we would all love the perfect location and light. ..When hiring a wedding photographer, what makes a difference for any future wedding client to consider is how many skills they possess when it comes to adding light to any of the above situations. It takes years and decades to master that craft and techniques, including lots of lighting equipment, to create those compelling images. Sunset photos are probably the hardest to capture because the result you are looking for is soft lighting that is warped around the couple—not easily achieved. You must know the right balance between the sunset and your additional lighting. What makes it 1000 times more difficult is that you have minutes to accomplish the results before the sun leaves the horizon. So while you gaze at this amazing sunset photo, realize that it is not as simple as one, two, or three more about the brain controlling the decades of years of experiences, the hands adjusting the camera, and the additional strobe giving that perfect soft light. The best part of this is happy clients with a fantastic sunset photo. That, to me, is how I always want it to be.
