Epic sunset photos are every engaged couple's dream to have. However, this requires what so many photographers are not, a lighting master. You see ambient is daylight photography and while sunset photos can generally be assumed the same they are not. Sunset photos whether engagement photos, bridal portrait photos, or wedding photos, require a lighting master photographer. Yes because in the foreground generally, the couple has to be properly exposed with the proper lighting so that they are just not a silhouette unless you are going for that look, that I wanted for this specific image or here is a great example of what most photographers do that is not proper, by having the background not look like a sunset but more like blown-out skies...So how do you know who is and who is not? The answer is simpler than you think. When you are searching for a sunset engagement photographer, pay close attention as you are browsing from one website to another on specifically that, sunset photos. Do you see any? If you do how do they compare with the other photographer. Typically you will find the 80 /20 rule, where most ambient photographers rely on the technology on their camera and the ambient light to create an image. 20% do not have a comfort and experience in dialing in everything on manual and by also adding the extra light source to the sunset photos by creating those epic sunset engagement images that much more spectacular. After all do you not deserve all of that?
