The Dock Street Theater, is one of Charleston, most favorite treasure buildings, and why as one of the bridal portrait photographers in Charleston Sc, I love capturing images at this historic building. On February 12, 1736, the Dock Street Theatre, opened with a performance of The Recruiting Officer. Built on Church Street, Dock Street Theatre was the first building in America built exclusively for theatrical performances. Then in 1935, was built as the shell of the Planter’s Hotel. Then on November 26, 1937, the Dock Street Theatre was opened for the second time. Then on March 18, 2010, after a 3 year and 19 million dollar renovation, The City of Charleston SC brought the historic theatre into the 21st century. It is one of the prettiest and most amazing buildings we have, I love photographing anything there and using it as a background, as seen in this amazing bridal portrait I captured for this bride. In this image, you can see the beautiful lines, the rustic colors, the green doors and railings simply elegant from this building, while the bride and her dress still look ravishing, as the key focal point. Simply a great bridal portrait reminiscing our beautiful city of Charleston South Carolina. This is why I love living here and being an engagement, bridal portrait, wedding photographer.
