Spring Charleston SC Wedding
My couple Julie & Johnny are from the great state of Kentucky, and I also believe that this state as the same value of friendliness that we do. Whenever I get contacted for a request from a Kentucky couple I know this is the perfect connection. Julie searched for months for the perfect wedding photographer while doing lots of research on The Knot, and Wedding Wire, by the time she made her request to me she already knew what her key important questions were. She was looking for a wedding photographer that was prompt with his or her reply, answered her call immediately, very friendly, very artistic and most importantly had amazing reviews across the internet. I remember sending back her email 5 minutes after I got it and being hired the same day. Yes, I said that right the same day.
The couple chose for their spring Charleston, SC wedding the very famous historic venue Harbour Club working with the very talented Shannon Hutchings. They wanted a southern style wedding and for their family and guest to enjoy the beauty of our historic city, while being able to be photographed in many different locations nearby their venue, that was very easy to accomplish since Harbour Club in centered in the French Quarter and surrounded by Waterfront Park, all amazing backgrounds.
The wedding day was beautiful blue sky a little hot has usually. As always I had already designed the perfect wedding timeline with them and I started with the beautiful Julie and her parents and very energetic bridesmaids. I then proceed to meet Johnny and his 11 groomsmen at Waterfront Park, we then had the first look at a lovely quaint location called 5 Middle Atlantic Wharf the perfect background with cobblestone streets. The lovely couple decided to have their first look there as well and we also captured all of the family photos along with the entire bridal party. We then proceed to the ceremony that was held on the 3rd floor of Harbour Club. I even managed to capture everyone that attended in a group photo that is way too cool. The reception went very well, you could tell the lovely couple Julie and Johnny had love from everyone the toast was given by many. Then the party started with Julie & johnny private band that they brought all the way from Kentucky and they were more than awesome called Tony and the Tanlines great musician and bunch of people, this wedding was truly memorable with that southern flair the bride shined in her Essense of Australia dress, just simply wow, dancing in her Jimmy Choo. The groom in his suit from Jos A Banks the perfect couple and the wedding photos below pretty much give you a great idea of an amazing Charleston summer wedding affair. Enjoy;
Here Julie & Johnny story from The Knot:
Luckily Johnny and Julie met through Johnny’s friend, Eric Cline who is an excellent judge of charm and beauty. Eric summoned Johnny to a work dinner where he was entertaining Julie’s office one night in the summer of 2014. Johnny was able to meet Julie and secure a date with her to attend the Lionel Richie concert. First date had a couple hiccups, Johnny wore pants on the hottest day of the year and Johnny spilled his drink on Julie’s co-worker. Julie and Johnny decided (primarily Julie) to take a break from their very brief relationship.
Over the next couple of months, Julie (no doubt intrigued by Johnny) continued to respond to Johnny’s text messages. Johnny finally gave in to Julie’s “hollering” at him and agreed to a second date, Garth Brooks concert in Lexington with the Blaney’s, Orr’s, Northingon’s, and Davis’s (rough crowd). Garth was on his game and Julie was overcome with the beautiful music and fireball. Their natural chemistry and mutual interests developed and they spent more and more time together, getting to know each other’s friends and family.
In November 2016 following a weekend trip to Asheville, North Carolina, Johnny posted on Facebook, “I talked her into it. Julie said yes over the weekend! We are very excited! Love you Jules!” Falling in love is worth the wait.
