As we are near the end of this year 2016, I realize how so lucky, and fortunate and honored I am being a part of wedding photographers in Charleston. The best part about this great talent is meeting and having the pleasure of having such amazing clients. So I write and dedicated this blog today to my fantastic clients Abigail & John. I met Abigail and her lovely mom Ann, back in August at the southern bridal show. We met at my studio a month later and fortunately for me, I was so lucky to have them bring me on as part of their wedding team. Shortly after that, we had another meeting with the lovely Caroline, the wedding coordinator and we all put together the perfect magical day. I was fortunate enough to have Abigail & her friends and mom for her bridal session that took place at her home and in our Holy City that included the college of Charleston Cistern. Then came November 11th, when I showed up to capture the rehearsal dinner a perfect theme held at Dunes West Golf & River Club a low country boil, that included some very heartfelt speeches. On the wedding day as I always do, I captured John the groom and his parents and the groomsmen, and then went by Abigail house to capture her and her parents and the so fun bridesmaids. Charleston bus company provided the travel to Stella Maris located in Sullivan Island, one of my favorite churches, so unique and sacred. There I observed and captured with my second shooter a full mass wedding ceremony. Shortly after capturing the family photos and the amazing photo of Abigail & John leaving the church as the bridal party waved their handkerchiefs, we then got on the Charleston bus to Mount Pleasant, at the old village, so that I could get some amazing images for the Abigail and John that included the so fun bridal party. For our final stop, we then proceeded to the lovely venue for the reception at Alhambra Hall, located in the old village of Mount Pleasant, Sc for more photos of the lovely couple. It was getting dark by that time and I remember Abigail, a request to me that was always about taking sunset photos. Unfortunately we were getting ready for rain, however, I did manage to capture some of my favorite sunset (made and created my magic) night photos, I have ever taken. I love the Southern charm of this wedding the beauty of Alhambra hall, overlooking the Charleston Harbor, filled with large oak trees, and Spanish moss, the décor elements created by Caroline the coordinator, a true southern charm soiree with over 200 family and friends that attended this wedding and reception. To make this night ever better, Abigail brother, Stephen Thompson, who owns a catering company called Dashi an eclectic Spanish and Asian cuisines catered the entire wedding. If I may add, one of the best catering and food I have ever tasted with over 500 weddings, that I have had the pleasure to capture. Family and friends and the lovely couple enjoyed the night away with the band Permanent Vacation who nearly had everybody dancing all night long.
Thank you, Abigail, John, and her mom, for giving me this once in a lifetime honor to be a story maker and to capture the emotions, of love and tears for you all that you will cherish for many years to come. I am very grateful and very appreciative. God Bless & thank you once again.
