What a great day to Blog about this unique wedding for my amazing clients Rubaiyat & Daniel, but before we start that, all of this would have never happened if we were not introduced by one of Charleston best wedding coordinator Younesse Alami. You see finding a venue is one thing, but making sure that your wedding is Magical, well that takes a team. Charleston Marriott downtown is a great place to experience just that, the staff run by Patrick Rogers, with Younesse Alami, and Sara Joeger the new wedding coordinator, is nothing short of making sure that every wedding clients experience is unforgettable. This Downtown Charleston venue is unique in it own way by offering bright, vibrant colors lobby, 50,000 square grand space, with a Miami theme for its patio and the perfect gorgeous Crystal Ballroom.
As I arrived, it looked like a very cloudy day, and there was a 60% chance of rain, but nothing ever stops me from making sure that I give my clients the very finest capture and art for any day. I started with photographing Daniel and his brother and the other groomsmen, then went up to Rubaiyat room, to find the bridesmaids and her mom, aunt, in an Indian theme a photographer dream to capture such amazing vibrant colors, we then had a first look at the lobby which went perfectly for such a very busy hotel, the couple decided that they wanted to remember their day with a Charleston theme, so we drove around town and did just that, the wedding ceremony was inside in the Crystal ballroom, as I was after the ceremony photographing the family portrait, Daniel, Dad, pulled me on the side and said oh my God there is a rainbow outside please photograph them by it, because it has such a huge meaning to us. In the meantime while family and friends were enjoying the cocktail hour, the fantastic staff turned it into the perfect reception, there were lots of emotion, laughter, crying, joyous moments, everything you would expect for such a one of a kind wedding, Ruby, had the pleasure of having her grandmother videotaped in India and we watched the video that was well put together, a few tears, the evening was magical, and just what the clients imagine it would be. My capture for the art is nothing short of that amazing images, thank you all.
Nowhere in her own words from the bride is how this day became:
Dan and I met in Charleston, SC during pharmacy school in 2008. Our relationship started as friends and grew into something more special than we could have imagined. We have been together, inseparable for 5 years now. We chose to have our wedding in Charleston because that is the city where Dan and I got to know each other. During our time together in a city full of amazing food, attractions, and scenery, we discovered our personal favorite restaurants, parks overlooking the city for us to relax and enjoy the view, peaceful beach locations near a gorgeous lighthouse, and other places all over the city for us to get away and enjoy ourselves. We came to know the city together and fell in love with all that it had to offer. Our wedding was unique in that it was a mix of two different cultures! We are blessed to be a part of Bengali and American traditions. With the help of our wonderful family and friends, we were able to capture the best of both worlds! It was beautifully emotional, fun, and filled with love, laughter, and lots of dancing. Along with our very dear family and friends, we would like to thank Michel for his time and talent in capturing the beauty of our wedding so that we can remember it forever, Epic Charleston: DJ Nick for his skills in blending American and Indian songs so that we all danced the night away, for Karen at Keepsakes Florist for her beautiful flower arrangements and decor, for Ashley Bakery for their delicious desserts, Classical Charleston for their touching classical music during our ceremony, and for Ziba Salon for helping me, my bridesmaids and my family look absolutely stunning!
